Brett is a proven front runner in a wide variety of business life cycles. He has  unparalleled experience across the world including M&A, strategy, operational experience, complex commercial sales and investment analysis.

His in-depth experience covers business expansion, innovation, and incisive capital allocation.

During his career he has assumed various senior leadership roles in start-ups, PE-funded and independently owned private and public companies.  

Before forming Eqtty (2022), he headed up the Commercial Strategy Group within Technical Operations for NBCUniversal. Prior to that, he was the President: Delivery Operations of Deluxe Entertainment in Hollywood (2016), the Managing Director of Encompass Digital Media  for EMEA (2013) and the Strategy Director of Arqiva Broadcast & Media in the UK (2008). 

In addition, he has provided strategic advisory services to clients into Africa, the Gulf region and across Asia including mainland China.  

His ability to recruit and inspire leaders to optimal performance is evidenced by the fact that over 15 of his direct reports have advanced to senior leadership positions all over the world.

Brett has lived on 5 continents having worked in Johannesburg, Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong, London, and Los Angeles. 

He has served on several management and advisory boards. Those include Gigcasters, Sohonet, Crystal Communications, Connecting Africa, The World Teleport Association, Sasani  and Global Access Telecommunications

Leonard has extensive financial services and investment banking experience, specifically in the areas of private equity, venture capital and corporate advisory. 

Qualified as a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) through the University of the Witwatersrand in 1989, while employed by Arthur Andersen.

During the 1990s Leonard served as a founding member and subsequently Head of Private Equity at Investec Bank South Africa, before managing a venture capital fund focused on telecommunications, media, and information technology. 

Having worked in an executive capacity with several leading investment banks, development finance entities and BBBEE investment enterprises, Leonard has in-depth and diverse experience with listed and private companies in various sectors of South Africa, Southern Africa, and East Africa. 

He has sat on the boards of many companies including various listed and privately held investment portfolio companies and served on board committees including Audit, Risk and Remuneration. 

He currently serves in a non-executive advisory to South African National Treasury Jobs Fund. 

This involves the use of public money to catalyze innovation and investment on behalf of a range of economic stakeholders in activities that contribute directly to enhanced employment creation in South Africa.

Marco  is a senior media executive who has specialized in leading teams and organizations in media and broadcast markets.

Before joining Eqtty, Marco was Chief Executive Officer of Eurovision Services SA, a leading global live sports event distribution provider. 

He led the global teams in Europe, Asia, and North America, delivering live sports and entertainment for the EBU and top-tier leagues and federations such as UEFA, FIFA, F1, NBA and the Olympics to global broadcasters 

With over 25 years in the media service delivery market, he has a deep understanding of media landscape and the associated value chains, from content creators and owners all the way to the systems and platforms that serve viewers.

Marco has broad corporate experience,

having led IT, operations, engineering, and sales teams through his career, before moving to MD and CEO roles.

In 2023, Marco led the successful sale of Eurovision Services for the then shareholder EBU to the German PE firm, DUBAG.

Marco has a BSc in Computer Science and Philosophy from Reading University which provides a somewhat unique and invaluable background given today’s vast potential of AI and deep learning as well as in the ever-increasing opportunities and application to media and broadcast markets.
